THE EVOLUTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL REFUGEE LAW IN LATIN AMERICA: FROM THE 1951 CONVENTION TO THE MEXICO PLAN OF ACTION
Abstract
This paper examines the evolution of the International Refugee Law in Latin America from the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees to the Mexico Plan of Action. It is structured into three parts: the first introduces the refugee thematic, the second deals with basic concepts of international refugee law, and the third examines about the Latin American tradition regarding refugee protection.
